ALL ABOUT
KRISTINA CLELAND

When I work with a client, I explore the whole person. With this approach, I can help the client uncover hidden feelings and experiences. It is difficult for people in our society to communicate their feelings for several reasons. Many individuals have defenses up or believe that their feelings and emotions will be judged which can create stress, anxiety, and fear. By releasing your blockages and fears, you will take risks, and with these risks, you will develop a better understanding of self. My goal is to open this pathway for each individual so that you can realize your full potential and develop your own inner strength.
My goal as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is to provide you with support and guidance to help you gain self-awareness, an understanding of your environment, and provide you with the tools to aid you in living a happy and successful future.

Other Experience
Homeless Health Care Los Angeles (HHCLA)

These practices were conducted amongst a diverse spectrum of clients and topics. I conducted a Woman’s group, which was a safe place for adult women, to discuss issues and receive
California Institute of Behavioral Analysis—Leafwing Center
I was an applied behavior analyst working with children on the “autism spectrum,” in the Torrance Unified School District. We used the “Applied Behavior Analysis” method, as this approach to therapy was the only type of research proven to work with children on the Autism Spectrum. My work included working with children of autism, in their specific public-school setting, during their routine school day, and then conducting home-based sessions to incorporate the family into learning and practicing task-driven programs to help them understand and cope with effective ways to manage situations and struggles encountered with their child going forward. This method has proven to not only benefit the child’s daily
